Best Dishes Cookbook - Desserts

When this page is finished, we are half way through the page dividers.  This page looks like it took a lot of work, but it is actually very simple because the page was pre-printed with a baking design.  I based my cuts around the design to make sure everything was placed where I wanted it to be.

Supplies:
Adhesives - ATG
Card stock - light blue
DCWV Nana's Kitchen
Eyelets (3/16")- white flower (3)
Tim Holtz alcohol inks - Denim
Stickles - icicle
Zig black 2-way pen

Tools:
ATG adhesive runner
Cricut
Cricut Cartridges - "From My Kitchen"
Eyelet setter
Paper trimmer
Scoreboard and bone folder
Scissors
Tim Holtz ink applicator tool
Xyron 2.5" sticker maker

Instructions:
The following chart will help with the Cricut cuts.  You will be using "From My Kitchen"
Page #     Feature Button          Size          Paper
35            "tabs"                       3.75"        light blue card stock
61            "words"                    1.75"        light blue card stock (cut 3)
  1. Cut 2 pieces of card stock from the Nana's Kitchen Stack to 7" X 9.5".  I chose a page with printed baking supplies for the front of the page.  Paper with embossed sweet treats was chosen for the back of the page.  Set the sweet treat paper aside for now.
  2. Cut the "Kiss the Cook" phrase from the phrases page found in the stack.  Mat in light blue card stock and adhere to the upper left hand corner of the page.
  3. Cut the word "dessert" from light blue card stock, following the chart above.  Turn all 3 "Dessert" words into stickers and stack on each other to give them added dimension.  Adhere the word above the pre-printed design on the page.
  4. Apply a liberal amount of adhesive to the sweet treats paper that was set aside earlier.  Adhere it to the front page.
  5. Tab - Cut a light blue tab following the above chart.  Using your scoreboard and bone folder, score and fold your tab on the center line. Write the word "Desserts" on the front of the tab.  Adhere to the middle of the page.
  6. Eyelets - Color the white eyelets by using the Tim Holtz "Denim" alcohol ink and applicator tool.  Cut holes and set 3 eyelets in the left hand margin of your page.
  7. Use the icicle stickles and trace the line across the top of the design and around the scallops at the bottom.  Using the black Zig pen, write the following phrase: "Life is short... Eat dessert first"
