Dreamin' Big...Just Because

Image
Good morning everyone.  I am so excited to be back and joining the Damask Divas on a blog hop.  This post does not contain a video but is just for you.  I am ready for Spring and these cards scream "Springtime".  Where I don't like real bugs, these are just too adorable to pass up. If you are hopping from Jennifer's blog, you are in the right place.  If you just stumbled onto this post, you're going to want to start at the beginning and hop through by clicking here .  You can check out the full line-up below, but for now I want to show you a couple of cards I made using Dreamin' Big. The first card I made a is a simple A2 sized card.  It was super easy to put together, yet is still fun.  When I purchase a new paper pack, I prefer to purchase the Workshop Your Way.  Why?  Because it has all the embellishments I need right in the kit.  It also has an entire paper packet and a few sheets of coordinating cardstock.  ...

CAS Butterfly Card

Image
I recently learned a new technique by watching AKCaraboo on YouTube which you can see here .  I love it and will be trying more.  I may even do a technique video showing it to you as well.  After I did my own stencil printing, I had a project to create that you will see soon.  There was a scrap of paper left over that I decided to use to make these pretty little cards.  Since I was using stuff that was left over from another project, these little beauties took only a few minutes to create and I love them. I used: Stencil printed paper (made with Strathmore cold press watercolor paper, Heidi Swap Stencil, Distress inks in Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry, and Salted Ocean ) Paper Trey Ink Kraft Cardstock Sakura Jelly Roll White pen Tombow glue pen and Xyron 250 Simon Says Stamp - Butterfly Drift Dye and Butterflies coordinating stamp set Hot pink and teal paper scraps 1/2" Corner Chomper from We Are Memory Keepers     Thanks for ...

Revisiting Old Cricut Cartridges - Bee Happy Card

Image
Do you have Cricut cartridges sitting on the shelf that you haven't used in a long time?  I definitely do and that is very sad.  All of those cartridges up there should do something more than just collect dust.  I decided to set a goal and make at least one project per week with a cartridge that I haven't used in a long time.  I  Today I chose <insert drumroll>: Just Because Cards I believe that this is one of the earliest cartridges I purchased as a brand new Cricut user.  It is a good one for a new Cricut user because it has complete cards that you can basically just choose your papers and then just follow the layout in the book.  Easy peasy.  Unfortunately, I don't believe that it is still available. I used the following: Just Because Cards - button #33 White card stock - Georgia Pacific DCWV - Neutrals and Lemon Flower matstacks Lawn Fawn - "On the Mend" Memento - Tuxedo Black ink pad Vellum (unknown source)  Tha...

Western Day Bookmarks

This video is of the bookmarks I made for our church's "Western Days".  I used the "Just Because Cards" Cricut cartridge to cut the boots.  Today was "Round Up Sunday" and it was a great day.  Please enjoy the project and thanks for stopping by.

Butterflies in a Jar Card

Image
I am so excited that Joann's has opened in my town!  The first weekend they were opened, they had their Cricut cartridges on sale.  "Kate's ABC's" was on my wish list and they had it!  I made this card using it and "Just Because Cards".  I made this card for a college graduate.  I believe the concept of the butterfly correlates to this new graduate who is being changed by God to be what He wants her to be.  I chose pink because it is the graduate's favorite color.

Twisted Easel Cowboy Boot Card

Image
Mary from CardzTV made a fabulous Twisted Easel card.  In fact, I liked her's so much, I went to Joann's and bought a pad of black and white paper so I could make one.  For information on how to make a Twisted Easel card, check out this Link: Twisted Easel Card .  Thanks so much for sharing Mary!

Best Dishes Cookbook - Beverages

I think this may be one of my favorite pages in the book - the beverage page.  Why?  Because I love a good latte and this is the background of this page.  Let's get started.

"It's a Girl" Baby Card

I made this card for a friend's baby shower last weekend.  It's taken me a while to post as it's been a crazy busy week.
