2019 Christmas Tag #4 & A Giveaway

Image
Welcome to the 4th week of Christmas tags for 2019.  My goal for this series is 2-fold: 1. Create gorgeous tags for my loved ones 2. Use different techniques and supplies Today, I am highlighting one of my favorite mediums - watercolors!  I love using watercolors to enhance my cards and journals.  Now I'm pulling them out for the tags.  Don't let this item used by artists intimidate you.  I'm not an artist but I love the effect that I can achieve with them.  Watercolors are a great way to express your creativity no matter how much experience you have.  You don't have to buy expensive ones.  Just grab a set and start experimenting. Be sure to check out the video below for how these tags were made.  Don't forget the giveaway for your chance to win a set of of the tags from this series. Supplies: Koi Watercolors Poinsettia stamp from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Red ribbon Strathmore watercolor paper Archival Distress B...

2019 Christmas Tag #3 & A Giveaway

Image
There are a few things that are a "must" at Christmas time and one of those things for me is the candy cane.  When my children were little,we would read The Legend of the Candy Cane at Christmas time.  It was one of 3 books that I loved to read every Christmas.  The book talks about the Candy Cane being a reminder of Jesus and of His death for you and me. Friend, do you know Jesus?  I hope you do. If you don't, reach out to me and I will be happy to share the Good News of Jesus and how He was born as a baby so that He could die for your sins and mine.  Wow!  How awesome is that? On this tag, I used a stencil and distress ink to form the candy cane background and a tiny Close to my Heart stamp for the tree.  I used Prisma colored pencils and gamsol to color in the tree. Supplies: CTMH White Daisy card stock CTMH gold glitter pen CTMH black ink CTMH mini Christmas tree stamp Festive Berries Distress Ink Tags, Bags, Boxes and ...

I love to make "gift baskets" using the gifts as part of the basket.  I did this for a bridal shower today.  The gift is a colander, spaghetti server, dishtowel, spaghetti, pasta sauce, and Parmesan cheese.  I had also placed a recipe in the basket as they were being collected for the bride. Of course, a great gift basket should have a great tag, right?  Though I had placed a card on the the inside, I decided that I needed to make a tag, so this is what I came up with. For information on the supplies and tools that I used to make this, please watch the video. Thanks for watching and have a great day.

"He is Risen" tags

I love Easter and I try to give my family a little basket of goodies each year.  This year, I added little tags to my kids' baskets.  If you missed the card that I made for my husband's basket, you can view it by clicking here .  On to this project...  These tags were really easy to make using tags made from Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More that I had already made and were tucked away.  Priam flowers, distress inks, and stamps from Studio G add beauty.  I made the eggs using Doodlecharms. Unfortunately, the picture I had taken of these tags appears to be damaged.  I hope you can see them well enough on the video to get the idea.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Day 3 of Getting Cricky Fun - Bookmarks

Image
Day 3 is going to be a little different. There won't be a video today, just 2 fun and quick bookmarks.  When I was planning my posts for the week, I had planned to do bookmarks.  After going through the Simply Sunday Challenge projects over at Getting Cricky, I decided to stretch myself a bit.  You can see these projects and link up your own projects by clicking  here .  I changed one of the bookmarks to a "snow project" to fit into that challenge.  Remember that I am using the Coffee & Tea for You & Me in all the projects that I post this week.  Guess what, I managed to come up with a coffee-less/ tea-less bookmark using these sets.  Aren't these stamps versatile?
