Can God Use You?

Did you know that God wants to use you?  If you know Christ as your Savior, you should be a willing vessel, ready for His use.  He doesn't always use the popular, the rich, or the great.  In fact, He uses those who are faithful in the little things.  You may not think that you have much to offer such a great God, but what you do have can be used for Him.  Last Sunday, our pastor read the following reading to us.  I do not know who the original author was, but I know it was a blessing to me.  I trust it is to you as well.

Can God Use You?

The next time you feel like God can't use you, just remember...
Noah was a drunk
Abraham was too old
Isaac was a daydreamer
Jacob was a liar
Leah was ugly
Joseph was abused
Moses had a stuttering problem
Gideon was afraid
Samson had long hair and was a womanizer
Rahab was a prosititute
Jeremiah and Timothy were too young
David had an affair and was a murderer
Elijah was suicidal
Isaiah preached naked
Jonah ran from God
Naomi was a widow
Job went bankrupt
John the Baptist ate bugs
Peter denied Christ
The Disciples fell asleep while praying
Martha worried about everything
The Samaritan woman was divorced, more than once
Zaccheus was too small
Paul was too religious
Timothy had an ulcer AND...
Lazarus was DEAD!
No more excuses now.
God can use you to your full potential.
Besides, you aren't the message.  You are just the messenger!

So get out there and let God use you.  You may be the only reflection of Christ that those around you will ever see.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Wow! That really puts things into perspective doesn't it? I guess I really do not have an excuse esp. since I am alive! ;)
Blessings,
Valerie
