What's Going On at DJ's Sundries?

Good morning friends.  I will admit that today is a post heavy kind of day.  My busiest crafting season is upon on us and I'm afraid that I have more to do than I have time to get it all done.  There are lots of posts coming that I hope you will find fun.  Here's a sneak peak of what's to come:

Days of Thanks
(Giveaway Alert)
Each November, I try to post something that I am thankful for everyday.  It's so easy to stay busy getting ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas that we forget to take time to be truly thankful for all of God's blessings.  I hope that many of you will comment with what you are thankful for each day.  On December 1st, I will use Random.org to choose one comment from the month to receive a set of the "12 Days of Christmas Tags" (more on that in a bit).  This is something that anyone can use.  They will be completely finished and will not require "craftiness" on your part.  Ready to join me?

Thanksgiving  Place Cards
I haven't decided on this year's style, but I plan to have around 20 people at my house for Thanksgiving.  Place cards are a fun part of my Thanksgiving decorations.

Christmas Cards
Of course, I plan to make Christmas cards.  Last year, I actually purchased my Christmas Cards ((GASP)), but this year I hope to make all of them.  This will be a bit of a challenge as I generally send out more than 100 cards each year.  Look for those posts to begin coming soon.

12 Days of Christmas Tags
For the third year in a row, I plan to post 12 days of Christmas tags.  I plan to begin a little early this year so that you can have plenty of time if you would like to make some for your family to share.  This has been a fun tradition in my family for several years.  This year's tags will feature the Graphic 45 "12 Days of Christmas" collection.  If you would like a sneak peak of the past 2 year's posts, click here.  Look for this year's tags to begin posting on December 1st.  Remember the giveaway above?  The winner will get to see the completed set before anyone else.

Bits and Pieces
Mixed into the special posts, look for some journals and some mini journals.  We will re-visit some older Cricut cartridges and of course mix in some pretty tags.  There will be at least one other home decor project for Thanksgiving and some mini thank you notes and notes of encouragement as well.  I hope to have a "Crafty Time with Aunt Cheri" and maybe a special storytime feature (if I can get permission from some publishers).  So hang onto your hats and let's get ready to craft.

Don't forget to take some time to enjoy the little things.

Wow, you do have a lot going on. I'm looking forward to some of your ideas as I will have between 20 and 30 people at my house for Thanksgiving and can use some ideas.

I am thankful for my husband and the hard work he does to support our family.
