No Cricut? No Stamps? No Problem! - 14 Days of Valentines

I am linking today's project to Link Up Tuesday by Pink Cricut.
Today I have a simple project for you.  I made 3" X 3" Valentines and I didn't use a Cricut or stamps.  I used paper, stickers, and a few other supplies to encourage you to make some Valentines.  This is a simple project so that you can try out card making without breaking the bank while getting supplies.  In fact, you could make something similar to the cards I made with very few supplies and very little cost.  Let's get started.

You will need some solid colored cardstock - I used pink from my stash and red from a packet of paper from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby brand)
Patterned paper - I used paper from K& Company and Provo Craft
Stickers - I used Studio G and EK Success
Banners - These were from K&Company
Adhesive - I use ATG
Ribbon - today's was from Really Reasonable Ribbon
Glitter Glue & Glossy Accents

Some good places to look for inexpensive supplies are:
Walmart - Sudio G brand has patterned paper, glitter glue, stamps, patterned paper, ink pads, embellishments, stickers, etc.  Each item costs around 97 cents.  If you are doing something similar to my Valentines you could pick up patterned paper, glitter glue, and a package of stickers for around $3.  Then all you need is some solid paper and adhesive.  I believe you can even purchase ribbon there.

Craft stores - this is my favorite place to buy my solid cardstock.  You can usually pick up a package for about $3.99 - less if there is a sale.  You can also find patterned paper on sale by the sheet.  Some of the stores offer coupons.  You can check for apps for your smartphone and download coupons there.  The variety of items you can find at craft stores is pretty great.  You can also spend a LOT of money, so be careful here.  I like to use the smaller sized pattern papers for cards sometimes and this is one place to find those.

Dollar stores - you never know what you will find here.  I've found some good stuff at my $ store.

Online - Again you have to be careful here.  A great deal may not be so great once you pay shipping.  However, there are some great deals to be had out there.  Scrapbook Steals, Blitsy, Peachy Cheap, and Scrapace are some of my favorite places to watch for deals.  You can click on the name of each company to go to their websites.

The video walks you through some of the things I did to these cards.  It also shows what I am adding to the giveaway today.  The items are adding up.

Giveaway?
Yes, I'm having a giveaway.  For the rules click here.  Today's "double entry" item is make a Valentine card of any size without using stamps or die cutting machine.  Also, do not use a Cuttlebug or other embosser.  I want to see some creativity here using simple supplies.  So far there are only two entries.  There are multiple ways to enter.

I am linking this to the following Challenges:

Thanks for stopping by.  Remember to take some time to enjoy the little things.

Hi Cheri,
Thanks, the linky seems to be working fine now...not sure what happened. Photos don't show up, but at least I can link now.
And yes, I did get my awesome 12 Tags of Christmas prize and I love everything! I was sure that I'd emailed you back about this but I'll look through my sent mail to see what happened to it. I really appreciate bloggers who have giveaways and always let them know when it arrives and to say a big thank you. I apologize if this one got by me but thank you so much again!
