Enjoy the Moments Blog Hop

Hello!  Welcome to the Enjoy the Moments Blog Hop.  If you are coming from Java Jen Creations then you are in the right place.  If you just happened to be visiting my blog today, be sure to start at the beginning by clicking here.

I am so happy you chose to join me today.  I am pretty new to Megan Elizabeth's blog and products, but discovered that we have at least one thing in common.  We both grew up singing along with Patch the Pirate.  It's a very small world!

When I was looking around on her blog and in her store, I knew that I wanted to try her Paper Layerz paper.  I also picked up some of her adhesive.  You will see me use both in today's project.  I decided to post the video in 2 segments so that it wouldn't be one very long video.  I also did something that I have NEVER done on a video before in the second one.  Curious?

After I finished the video, I decided to add faux stitch marks around the outside and the inside of the card using a black zig pen.  It was that little finishing touch I think it needed.

But Wait.... I was having so much fun with this paper that I decided to throw in a bonus project.
(Insert drum roll)
So for project #2, I decided to do a little treat box for my wonderful husband.  I used the same sheet of paper that I used on the card.  Here's what the paper looks like now.

I started out with this box of bottle caps that I had picked up at the grocery store last week.  It's just a little treat, but one that I know he will enjoy.

His favorite colors are blue and orange so I found an orange piece of paper in my stash and cut it to measure 6"X11".  I wrapped it around the box and adhered it using ATG.  I then cut the following shapes from Create-A-Critter using more of the Paper Layerz.
Snail - 2 1/4"
Postage stamp - 2"
"Special Delivery" - 1.5"

Remember that the paper is double sided?  I cut a box out of the paper and sized it to fit behind the "Special Delivery" using my paper trimmer.  He found this waiting for him when he got in his car for work this morning.  I hope it made him smile.  It was so simple to take a little treat and make it even more special.  My man is worth it!

***Thanks for stopping by today.  Today's blog candy will be a surprise.  I think you will like it.  I will announce what it is when I announce the winner.  I will announce a winner on July 15.  Entries will close at 11:59 EST on July 14.  To enter, please follow my blog and leave a comment on this post telling me that you are one.***

Thank you so much for your part in making my first blog hop so much fun! I love your tutorial videos! For me, it's much easier to "get it" if I'm watching someone actually make something rather than just reading about how a card is made. Your cards turned out really cute!

Loved your tip for pre-cutting images. I have wasted so much paper because of size issues. Your little froggy is just adorable and the bow looks fabulous!!
