Happy July 4th Card

Typically, I don't spend much crafty time on projects for the 4th of July.  That is really a shame because there are so many fun things you can do to decorate and to celebrate.  I decided that this year I would do a mini series of blog posts and videos that celebrate Independence Day.  There will be 4 days worth of posts that will showcase a variety of items.

Kicking off day one will be this fun card for the 4th.  I typically don't send cards on July 4th.  I told my husband that I think that this was the first project that I have ever posted that wasn't intended for someone or something in particular.  I actually decided to give it to a sweet toddler in our church.  There were some other little goodies that I gave with it, including an altered mini composition book that took less than 5 minutes to make (and I didn't get a picture).

I used the following products:
Red, white, and blue crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl JAM
Core'dinations - Tim Holtz Distress Paper (red)
Blue paper from my stash
Krafty cardstock from Core'dinations
Versamark ink with white embossing powder
Close to my Heart Outdoor Denim ink
Fireworks embossing folder (Darice)
Creative Inspirations - Winter White paint
Studio G glitter glue
Chipboard stars (left over from another project)
FolkArt blue paint

Thanks for stopping by today.  Remember to take some time to enjoy the little things.

I am entering this project in the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Party Time Tuesdays - Anything Goes Challenge
Craft Your Passion - Red, White, and Blue
Paper Playtime - Red, White, and Blue
