4th of July Treat Baskets
Because the ER never closes, I am scheduled to work today. I took some treats along to my co-workers. To start out, I made a treat basket using Tags, Bags, Boxes & More 2. This first video gives some tips using this fun cartridge. I used textured card stock from The Paper Studio to cut the basket.
I decided to then decorate the basket using the Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge. I used scraps of red, white, and blue paper from my stash. I also used some paper from K&Company's Americana 4X6 pad. The basket was completed with shear white ribbon from my stash. The centers of the flowers were finished off with bling from Meghan Elizabeth and a pearl from Michael's.
Of course, a treat basket needs to be filled with treats so I picked up some clear bags from Wilton and filled them with red, white, and blue M&M's. I closed each bag with some blue ribbon from Ofray. Leftover chipboard stars and heart that were cut using the Cricut Craftroom were painted with red and blue paint from Folk Art and white paint from DecoArt. These were each stamped using Versamark ink and various sentiments from Sweet July by K. Andrew Designs. The white shapes were embossed with red pearlized embossing powder by recollections. White embossing powder from my stash finished off the blue and red shapes.
Please enjoy the video.
Have a safe 4th of July. Remember to take some time to enjoy the little things today.
