What's For Dinner?

So today I have a not-so-crafty-but-oh-so-yummy post and a bit of rambling so please bear with me.

Early in March, I created a new chore plan for our household.  I divided the house into zones and divided the chores between the 4 of us.  Unfortunately, shortly after the plan was created, my father-in-law took a turn for the worse and passed away.  The "plan" flew out the door while we were trying to keep up with normal living and cleanliness.  This week we started back into the plan - which will be explained more thoroughly when I have a chance to create the control board for the plan.  I couldn't wait to institute the plan until the pretty control board is made, so we started it back up this week with paper lists on the fridge.  Part of the plan includes who cooks and when.  This ensures my family is fed on the nights when I work and the ones when my daughter works.  So far so good.  Today was my day to cook.  I knew we were out of spaghetti sauce in the freezer so I chose to make spaghetti today.

What?  You chose to make spaghetti when you knew you were out of sauce?  Absolutely!  I don't believe in making a small batch of sauce.  When I make spaghetti sauce I make a huge pot and freeze the leftovers.  It's a great time-saver.  I don't have a recipe and its usually always a little different from previous batches, but it's always tasty!  So spaghetti it was.  What's spaghetti without yummy bread?

A while back my friend gave me the following recipe for pull-apart bread.  It screams "delicious".  My family thought so too!  Doesn't it look yummy?  Can't you just smell it?

Pampered Chef Pull-Apart Bread

Pillsbury Grands (8-count) refrigerated biscuits - I used a store-brand buttermilk biscuit
3 T butter (because butter makes everything better)
2 cloves garlic - I didn't have any, so I just sprinkled in some garlic powder
1 t Italian Seasoning
3 T Grated Parmesan Cheese

Heat oven to 375 F.  Melt butter in an 8" saute pan over medium heat.  Grate the cheese into the pan.  Press garlic and add it to the pan.  Quarter the biscuits.  Add the biscuits and the seasoning mix to the pan and toss.  Place pan in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.  Serve with marinara sauce.

Now when I found out this was a Pampered Chef recipe, I knew I had to introduce you to my favorite Pampered Chef consultant.  This lady is the hardest working lady that I know.  In fact, while I was making this recipe (and didn't know it was from PC), I was on the phone with this lady discussing a some ideas for her other business endeavors.  I am going to put a link to her personal PC website below.  I love the quality of Pampered Chef's products and their food is pretty good too - you have got to try their Spicy Pineapple Rum sauce - Oh my!  Oh and by the way my Pampered Chef lady is my wonderful mother.  You really should hop on over to her site: Marcia's Joyful Kitchen.  You won't be disappointed!
