Alligator Birthday Card & More

I have to admit that I have not had such a bad case of "can't leave well enough alone-itis" when it comes to crafting in a long time.  I have been wanting to use this new die from Paper Trey Ink for quite awhile, but just haven't taken the time to play with it.  It is a spinner die and I really had fun with it.

I am entering this project in several challenges:

So let's get started

This is the front of the card.  After the video, I added glossy accents to the alligator and white gel pen to the blue behind him.  The sign is made from brown and Kraft scraps and the Camp Out cartridge.  The grass is from Kate's ABC's in various green scraps.  The water paper is from Hot Off the Press.  I'm not sure where the gold bop letters came from.  The dark blue and white card stock is from my scrap stash.  The alligator is cut from Animal Kingdom.  The sentiment is from "Splashtastic Summer" from K. Andrew Designs.

The alligators on the inside of the card are from the border feature on Animal Kingdom.  I inked around the edges of the white paper with Faded Jeans distress ink, which I also used for the sentiment.  I combined stamps from "Splashtastic Summer" and "Coffee & Tea for You & Me" by K. Andrew Designs to make the sentiment.

I used the bookmark feature on Animal Kingdom and more scraps from my stash to make this fun bookmark.  The epoxy letter stickers from my stash add a fun touch.  The alligator's eyes are made from "Midnight" stickles.  Most of the green scraps for this whole project were from Tim Holtz's Retro Grunge stack.

After I thought I was done, I decided to make the envelope cute as well.   The edges were distressed with "Peeled Paint" and a little "Faded Jeans".  I found an extra alligator leftover from the card, so I adhered it to the envelope and added some more stickles for the eyes.  It only took a couple of minutes to make the envelope and I think it adds so much to the finished project.  I hope my nephew likes it!

Thanks for watching and remember -

"This is the day the Lord has made"  we need to rejoice and be glad in it!
