Christmas Candle

Merry Christmas!  I trust you all had a wonderful Christmas celebrating our Savior's birth.  I also trust that you know Jesus personally.  If not, wouldn't the day we celebrate His birthday be the perfect day to accept his gift of eternal life?  My Uncle Mike celebrated his best Christmas ever today.  He unexpectedly got to spend it with Jesus when he suddenly went home to Him this morning.  It is a huge joy to know that I will see him again someday because he had accepted Jesus' gift of salvation.  I pray that you have as well.

I gave several packages of homemade candy out this year to neighbors.  However, I have a couple of neighbors who are elderly and I didn't think they would enjoy the candy.  They also both have beautiful homes and probably don't need or want knick knacks and other such items.  I decided to get little scented candles and decorate them with ribbon.  I think it adds a little homemade touch, is inexpensive, and takes moments to prepare.  Of course a little 3 Girl JAM flair just pushes it over the top.

I used these gorgeous 3 Girl JAM products to take this little Walmart candle from nice to fabulous:
The ribbon was simply tied around the candle with a knot and the flair adhered with Glossy Accents.

Now I know that Christmas is over and you are done with your Christmas crafting, but this idea could be used for so many occasions.  How about a thank you gift for a New Year's party using the Thank you Flair, a teacher gift using the School Days Flair, or a little cheer me up using the Super Hero Flair?  The possibilities are endless.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Remember to take some time to enjoy the little things.

*The flair pictured will vary slightly from the one currently offered in the Christmas Flair package.

"What A Day That Will Be"

What a day that will be,
When my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon His face,
The One who saved me by His grace;
When He takes me by the hand,
And leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be!

May your hearts be comforted in the sure knowledge that your Uncle is in Jesus' arms. He most definitely had a glorious Christmas!

I am so sorry for your loss of your Uncle Mike...but yes indeed, the best Christmas ever! He got to Celebrate it with the Birthday boy himself!

One of my favorite songs is "I can only imagine." Your Uncle Mike bring a whole new dimension to my thought when I hear or think about the words to this song.

Again, I am sorry for YOUR loss but rejoice in his gain!

What a touching story...thank you for sharing this message and I hope that you find peace in knowing your uncle Mike is in a loving place for eternity. I'm sure your neighbors loved their heartfelt gifts this season too. Love how you spruced up this candle. TFS Cheri!
