Card Exchange Club - Female Birthday

I tried two times to get a good video of these cards, but they were just too blurry.  It was time for an alternate plan, so here it is.  My friend and co-worker Crystal, recently began a card exchange club.  We each make 8 cards once a month and then we exchange them.  July's theme was "female birthday".  It was so much fun and the first time I have participated in something like this.  The ladies who participated are so talented and it is a privilege to be involved.  I will post a tutorial with my card, but I wanted to show you the cards made by the other ladies.

This first card was made by Crystal, the host and inspiration behind the card club.  I really like the unique size and all the different coordinating papers.  The front sentiment says, "This is no day for just a sliver".   What a great sentiment for a birthday card!

Crystal finished off the inside of her card with a second sentiment.  Thanks so much Crystal!

This card was made by my friend and co-worker Pamela.  There are so many elements to this card and it is just beautiful.  She stitched around both accent boxes as well as the flower base.  She then adhered the entire front of the card to a pink 4.25"X5.5" card base so the stitching isn't seen on the inside of the card.  Pamela made the little pinwheel by hand and stamped her sentiment on a banner from the "Stand and Salute" Cricut cartridge.  This is so pretty!  Thanks Pamela!

This pretty card was made by Colleen,  I love the brown, green, and white.  It is so clean.  I haven't made flowers yet, but this card definitely inspired me to try some.  The background on the front of the card is embossed with the Cuttlebug "Blooms and Dots" embossing folder.  Colleen cut the front of her card a little shorter than the back and adhered a strip of the green paper to the back to give the card a beautiful finished look.  This is so pretty!  Thanks for the great card.

The card Debbie made is more than just a card.  It comes with it's own holder/ envelope.  This is such a great technique.  The black flower is very neat as well.  It has a little bit of stiffness and glitter with the perfect little crystal to tie it all together.  I will definitely need to figure out how Debbie made this one before I use the card.  It is great and there are so many different things you could do with this idea.  Thanks for sharing Debbie.

The card Shelley made caught my eye immediately.  Was there ever a prettier color than purple?  I think not!  Pair that up with green and you have one beautiful card.  What is lost in the photograph is that this image looks like a watercolor.  It is so pretty.
This is the inside of the card.  This is so great Shelley!  Thank you.

Krista made this pretty card.  I love this paper.  The way the squares contrast with the circles is so eye catching.  The flowers have a crystal in the center of each, which adds just the right amount of sparkle.  This is such a pretty card, and I'm sure someone special will enjoy receiving it.  Thanks so much Krista!

I am truly inspired by these talented ladies and their cards.  I can't wait to see what next month's cards will be like.  Next month we are making "male birthday" cards.  Check back to see how they all turn out!

Woo Hoo! I figured out the problem with the video camera. A setting had been switched. Hopefully, there won't be anymore blurry videos.
