Sketch Inspired Birthday Cards

Image
Good morning.  I hope you are having an amazing day.  I can't tell you how good it felt to get in the craft room.  I haven't had any crafting time in 2 weeks.  I didn't even have much time to spend, but it was oh-so-wonderful!  Unfortunately, since I didn't have much time and I have so many cards to make, I needed a plan and it needed to be quick and easy.  Ever have those days?  This is the perfect time to grab a sketch.  My sketch came from Operation Write Home, but you can find free sketches all over the internet.  With sketch in hand, a couple of pads of paper, and some scrumptious 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon, I was ready to go. You can click on the sketch to find out about this great organization and to see the challenge that's going on.  I plan to enter these cards! Here's what I used: Cherry Lipstick crinkle ribbon Echo Park's  "This & That - Graceful" and "This & That - Charming" 6X6 collections TPC Studi...

Catching Up

I just wanted to give you an update on life and the reasons I haven't been posting.  The following was posted on my husband's Facebook wall a couple of days ago: "The past week for our family has been a little crazy. One week ago Cheri was taking Heath to rugby practice when they were involved in an accident. We took Heath to the ER for neck pain. Everything checked out OK. The next morning, Cheri was having some neck pain so we went in and had her checked out. Thankfully, everything checked out OK. The next day, we took mo m in to the ER with an abnormal heart rhythm. With a little help from electricity, they got her heart back into a normal rhythm. We took Thursday off from the hospital, but were back in on Friday and discovered that mom had had a stroke. As I look back over the week, I thought I'd list some things we have learned. 1. God is good. 2. The jeep was a great safety choice. 3. Sometimes it is fun to visit my wife's workplac...
