Christmas is coming fast!  I want to have a large variety of Christmas cards this year.  I send so many, that I know that I have to start early.  I also know that I have loved playing with my new Close To My Heart watercolors.  This image is perfect for watercolors! I used "Sing Glory" and "To You and Yours" stamp sets from Close To My Heart.  Unfortunately, they aren't currently available, but you might be able to find them online somewhere.  I also used the "Yuletide Carol" paper pack which is also retired. It's probably hard to believe, but I really do know how to scrapbook.  Unfortunately I am at a time in my life that I really don't have time.  This is why you don't see layouts from me and also why I plan on taking up Project Life.  However, there are those special occasions that I step up and do a mini album of some kind.  My daughter's graduation was one of those occasions.  I printed a bunch of her senior pictures and went to work on this quick album.  I will say it was very quick - 3 to 3.5 hours start to finish once I chose the paper.  It helped that my mom was there to help sort out the photos. I found this 8X8 album at my local Joann's several weeks ago and knew it would be perfect since it was in my daughter's favorite colors.  Finding paper was a bit of a challenge since I didn't head to the city.  However, while looking around my craft room I found a little file of paper that my daughter had chosen as her own.  I grabbed t...

Tomorrow (or today, depending on where you are located), there is a fun blog hop going on over at Operation Write Home.  I am really excited to be part of this fun hop and can't wait to hop along and see all the other inspiration.  The theme is "Thank You" and the challenge is to use an OWH sketch.  Did I say challenge?  OWH sketches actually simplify card making and are a great springboard for enhancing creativity.  I love them and use them often. Welcome to another challenge on the 3 Girl JAM Challenge Blog.  I have a really simple little card for you today, but first lets talk about the current challenge. Now to my project.  I decided to make a very simple little card for you today.  Why simple?  Because I wanted to show you how easy it is to use the images at the Cutting Cafe (and because I made 60 cards).  I grabbed some Coral Crush and Witches Brew ribbon from 3 Girl JAM.  I also grabbed this printable set from the Cutting Cafe and was ready to start. I know you don't typically see a "cutesy" anniversary card from me, but this is for a special couple who celebrated their 5th anniversary and "Beauty & the Beast" has special meaning to them. I once again pulled out the Princess paper pad from Hot Off the Press and went to work.  Elegant edges was the perfect cartridge to create my heart mat and my base was made from Vintage Cream card stock from PaperTrey Ink.  The blue paper was from DCWV's Shimmer stack and Sunflower crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl Jam made a beautiful bow.  The little pearls in the corners were made using Ranger liquid pearls in bisque.  The inside sentiment was stamped using a birthday set from TPC Studio.  The video contains full details on how to make the card so I hope you have a few minutes to enjoy it.  Hello everyone.  Today I have my second Mother's Day card to show you.  This one is for my mother-in-law and I tried to tailor it to her likes.  I used the Cricut Craft Room to create the sizes for all my images and to create the music score paper.  Gotta love that Imagine! Hello my bloggie friends.  I trust today finds you happy and resting in the joy of the Lord.  I will admit that the main thing I have accomplished today is keeping my pajamas warm.  As close as I can figure I worked around 55 hours in the last 4 days and am exhausted!  I did manage to squeeze in a card in those few days that I wanted to post for you. Add caption I used a sketch from Erica's Craft Room for her current challenge.  I just wanted to make a simple invitation for dinner on Easter.  This sketch was perfect for it.  I'm also really excited to have found the postage stamp cut on Elegant Edges.  I have wanted to use this cut, but only thought that I had it on an Imagine cartridge.  Using mycutsearch.com, I discovered that Elegant Edges had it as well.  Woot woot!  I see other cards with this cut in the future. I needed to make a sympathy card so I pulled out a set from my favorite stamp company - K. Andrew Designs.  I also pulled out Elegant Edges, ribbon from 3 Girl Jam, and Fired Brick Distress Ink. Do you have shopping bags sitting around?  You know, the kind you get from retailers in the mall.  They are too sturdy to throw away, but you don't want to use them as a gift with your favorite store written across the front.  No worries, with just a little creativity (and maybe a Cricut), you can re-purpose those bags into your very own original gift bag.  I once saw one on YouTube and I decided I finally had something I could do with those bags that I have stacked up.  It's also a great way to turn a plain, inexpensive gift bag into something special. As I mentioned in my last post, I attended a baby shower for a co-worker tonight.  She is expecting a baby girl and I had a bag I had been saving for just such an event.  I was so excited to use it!

Today has been a very productive day.  All of the laundry is done (and most is folded and put away).  The kitchen is cleaner and a crockpot full of spaghetti sauce was made with the leftovers frozen.  We also sent out a mailing for the mission. Tonight I attended a baby shower for a co-worker.  She is expecting a little girl and I found a beautiful little dress for her, but I wanted to add a little handmade item with it.  It was time to pull out the "Mommy Quote" book again.  I ended up making 3 books by the time I was finished.  I will not go into the details on it as that was done in an earlier post ( Mommy Quotes ).  However, I wanted to let you know about some changes I made from the last post.
