Enjoy the Moments Blog Hop

Hello!  Welcome to the Enjoy the Moments Blog Hop.  If you are coming from Java Jen Creations then you are in the right place.  If you just happened to be visiting my blog today, be sure to start at the beginning by clicking here . I am so happy you chose to join me today.  I am pretty new to Megan Elizabeth's blog and products, but discovered that we have at least one thing in common.  We both grew up singing along with Patch the Pirate .  It's a very small world! When I was looking around on her blog and in her store, I knew that I wanted to try her Paper Layerz paper.  I also picked up some of her adhesive.  You will see me use both in today's project.  I decided to post the video in 2 segments so that it wouldn't be one very long video.  I also did something that I have NEVER done on a video before in the second one.  Curious? After I finished the video, I decided to add faux stitch marks around the outside and the...

Animal Card Series - Get Whale Soon

Image
I "Whaley" hope you are enjoying this series as much as I am enjoying making the cards for it!  I think this whale from the "Splish Splash" Cricut cartridge is adorable.  This was a cartridge that I won several months ago in a giveaway and it's the first time I've used it.  Don't have this cartridge?  No problem!  Go to mycutsearch.com to find what other cartridges have whales on them.  I know I have at least 2 others. I used the "Scripture Sayings" and "Splashtastic Summer" stamp sets to stamp the sentiments on this card.  They are from K. Andrew Designs.  The video will include other information including cut sizes and the other supplies I used. Thanks for stopping by.  Please remember: "Jesus paid it all.  All to Him I owe".

Get Whale Soon Card

I wanted to make this quick card yesterday for a sick little girl.  I only had a few minutes to make it.  I would add something to the top of the card if I had a little more time to put it together to add interest to the top.  Here's what you need: Supplies: Cardstock - 2-3 shades of pink Pink patterned paper Black piece of cardstock Blue piece of cardstock Cupcake Twine from The Twinery Black inkpad Tools: Create-a-Critter Cricut cartridge K. Andrew Designs - "Splashtastic Summer" stamp set Let's Get Started : Cut your card base to 8 1/2"X 5 1/2".  Fold in half.  Cut the layers of the whale at 3" using the Create-a-Critter Cricut cartridge.  I cut "layer 1" 2 times - once in pink and once in blue.  I adhered the blue layer to the black layer.  I then cut the water spout off the top of of the pink "layer 1" so that you could see the water spout.  The only part of the "blue layer 1" you see is the water spout...
