I trust that you are taking time to celebrate and worship the One Who we celebrate this holiday. I know that I've been quiet for awhile. Don't be fooled. I have made a lot of cards. I just need to get them posted.</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixKICRYrH7Cajyh5fOZ0WFQQgRKJDiwjIqmB_8N2w_AvILew64olopIQ2cOGXf45cimHU2NRDMItxEO4Bbh6EHSWDbTv9X6dNzEAaqvvL4lhIvPaDe3s3Z2A3JBjhekPnR5nUpfCDVX0o/s1446/IMG_0395+%25282%2529.JPEG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1446" data-original-width="1257" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixKICRYrH7Cajyh5fOZ0WFQQgRKJDiwjIqmB_8N2w_AvILew64olopIQ2cOGXf45cimHU2NRDMItxEO4Bbh6EHSWDbTv9X6dNzEAaqvvL4lhIvPaDe3s3Z2A3JBjhekPnR5nUpfCDVX0o/s320/IMG_0395+%25282%2529.JPEG" /></a></div><br />This card was made to give to the various departments in the hospital. I wanted to spread some Christmas cheer and I thought this card would do that. I know that the heartbeat may make you think of Valentine's Day. However, I felt that it was perfect for healthcare workers. SHHH..... don't tell, but it gave me an excuse to buy this die that I was having trouble justifying.<p><u>Supplies you need:</u></p><p>White card stock (I used the Walmart brand)</p><p>Red cardstock (I used Ruby and Cranberry from Close To My Heart (CTMH)</p><p>White embossing powder</p><p>Versamark ink</p><p>CTMH "Just to Say" stamp set for the sentiment</p><p>Glue (I used Gina K Connect and Scotch Quick Dry)</p><p>Tape runner adhesive</p><p><u>Tools:</u></p><p>Vagabond</p><p>Tim Holtz "Heartbeat" Thinlets die set</p><p>How about s video? Yes, you heard right. We last made hot chocolate mix in December, 2017. Have you ever made so much hot chocolate that you mix it in a garbage bag? That's how we like to do it. It's also great if you're having a party or looking for a fun gift. Just add some mix to a bag, put it in a mug, wrap in cellophane and tie it in a bow. This year we tweaked the recipe a bit to try to make it a little more chocolaty. Keep scrolling and I'll tell you how we changed it up.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0h8pxw3QytzP5Ypm9-8y5wIqAVFJmZSqX8Q9GCP0Tq43QFhk3kW0Mgw8qQ0NQcMXJJkr26ni2h7h2_-zXVbDxwnxqVMuhbZrf1yAxJu7lyqYVbkTnacZpO1ibO-g4cpqJ9doi8cnNmtw/s2048/IMG_0253.JPEG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0h8pxw3QytzP5Ypm9-8y5wIqAVFJmZSqX8Q9GCP0Tq43QFhk3kW0Mgw8qQ0NQcMXJJkr26ni2h7h2_-zXVbDxwnxqVMuhbZrf1yAxJu7lyqYVbkTnacZpO1ibO-g4cpqJ9doi8cnNmtw/s320/IMG_0253.JPEG" /></a></div><p>The original recipe is something that I found on the internet years ago and I have no idea of the original source. Now you don't need a leaf sized garbage bag like we used. Unfortunately, our current kitchen garbage bags are scented and we didn't want to add that to our drinks.<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPAn0KFidi11bbLevfny4ChVTLJ-hu4gdhWXZfpewf-DtYxXGI0tQKfkHHenZ-n30cfPZzqhcM1M0EgvMdXp43oGaXvwSO8iySy4hhv4I1_zj_f00rUO6IzmadLlAJvbcUWGfivaCz2NE/s2048/IMG_0255.JPEG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPAn0KFidi11bbLevfny4ChVTLJ-hu4gdhWXZfpewf-DtYxXGI0tQKfkHHenZ-n30cfPZzqhcM1M0EgvMdXp43oGaXvwSO8iySy4hhv4I1_zj_f00rUO6IzmadLlAJvbcUWGfivaCz2NE/s320/IMG_0255.JPEG" width="320" /></a></div><p>You want to shake and smoosh and really make sure you get everything mixed well. Be sure to have storage containers ready. I always save the creamer, malted milk, and chocolate milk mix containers to start with. I happened to have an extra large chocolate milk container in my cabinet. The containers from the various ingredients will not be enough to hold the finished recipe. In this case, the large containers are completely full and the malted milk container is about 1/2 full. See why I only make it every 2-3 years?</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDK8UFlqepDkb9PmMQ5E0Y5Ap9RZ35fRsjzeLEgDQRwFR__w4hGebXuhsVkqYd4rO4ep_vlrTnfq6vZ6DfRgcb1vq2w9-eD_6LM1-igYwVEZ0TfqyTl55XRaaBQhgF10enMUOHEBKwJkc/s2048/IMG_0259.JPEG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDK8UFlqepDkb9PmMQ5E0Y5Ap9RZ35fRsjzeLEgDQRwFR__w4hGebXuhsVkqYd4rO4ep_vlrTnfq6vZ6DfRgcb1vq2w9-eD_6LM1-igYwVEZ0TfqyTl55XRaaBQhgF10enMUOHEBKwJkc/s320/IMG_0259.JPEG" /></a></div><p>Add to a mug of hot water. The amount of mix used varies for personal taste and the mug size you choose, but don't be surprised if you use at least 1/4 cup of mix per mug - or even more.</p><p>So what about the changes? One change that we make is that we never add the marshmallows. We did one time and it was fine. However, like the mixes you buy with marshmallows, the marshmallows will harden. We prefer to add them when we mix up a mug.</p><p>Change #2 - This year we added a little bit of extra chocolate milk mix. It wasn't a lot extra, but we opened up a large container (41.9 oz) from Sam's Club and added a full 16 ounce container from the grocery store. It was definitely NOT worth measuring to get the perfect number of ounces. </p><p>The final change was completely accidental, but will boost the chocolate power even more. Instead of regular malted milk, I mistakenly bought chocolate flavored malted milk. I think at the end of the day, we will like it even better. Why? Well we have always enjoyed the creaminess of this recipe, but felt it could use a little more chocolate. I'm hoping this will push it over the top.</p><p>How about you? How do you like your hot chocolate? With candy canes? Whipped cream? Let me know in a comment below.</p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;">Thanks for stopping by today.</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;">Remember to take some time to enjoy the little things.</span></p><p><br /></p>Cherihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10307701252936586460noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7952780054572686986.post-54352574484298251612020-10-09T23:00:00.044-06:002020-10-09T23:00:00.229-06:00From Recycle Bin to Card<p>Have you ever tossed something away because it was "ugly" only to discover later that you really liked it? I recently tossed something into the recycle bin but when I went back into the craft room a week later, it caught my eye. I was so inspired by Tim Holtz' Alcohol Ink Demo that I pulled out the alcohol inks and started playing. After trying several techniques and color combinations, I made these pretty little thank you notes. Do you have a thankful heart? There are so many around us who do little things to encourage us. I am striving to have little notes on hand to say thank you and these fit the bill perfectly.</p><p>To begin, I grabbed some Yupo paper, alchohol inks, rubbing alcohol, bubble wrap and blending solution.</p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAFpkyOmGdj2RhVsz4Ib0zqQFopH8qKNF6WsDAaWHmSDEPf2OLxitsy_LVCDlwASFbkTHEKomaEaS1FvMVtPR50XWVH0WmDqG5PjRgL4ya3CdRt7m23s0T3xNnYFuZ6z73VYuPAFaezf0/s2048/IMG_9874.JPEG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAFpkyOmGdj2RhVsz4Ib0zqQFopH8qKNF6WsDAaWHmSDEPf2OLxitsy_LVCDlwASFbkTHEKomaEaS1FvMVtPR50XWVH0WmDqG5PjRgL4ya3CdRt7m23s0T3xNnYFuZ6z73VYuPAFaezf0/s320/IMG_9874.JPEG" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Poppyseed, Botanical, Denim, Honeycomb, Terra Cotta<br /></td></tr></tbody></table><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0MydcM2RFYzndOAhffubtSnGAooM0u4FtMIga_pg3wzaYgtf1TKgECFm3TArPlYlLq9qWIVHAbNKvxF7hAKIwzqnObEu8gSXEAbDVZAirAQWgt0fHpHCX8Sc6AIcN3al3oVqfKCXEhgg/s2048/IMG_9873.JPEG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0MydcM2RFYzndOAhffubtSnGAooM0u4FtMIga_pg3wzaYgtf1TKgECFm3TArPlYlLq9qWIVHAbNKvxF7hAKIwzqnObEu8gSXEAbDVZAirAQWgt0fHpHCX8Sc6AIcN3al3oVqfKCXEhgg/w240-h320/IMG_9873.JPEG" width="240" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Purple Twilight, Denim, Indigo<br /></td></tr></tbody></table><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPTMbMko75GurCfEQP1XjuVAR9ckLFWRuD_iqbu2prxc9dU5xzlwgEXrf-hecV_FrskUEZvefe1YjGBlXkJ5b0KnC_4n7lKXfLEaLaVMF1o9PLEqEaKDr4JhtJNudVSowyL0n6MfygVWE/s2048/IMG_9872.JPEG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPTMbMko75GurCfEQP1XjuVAR9ckLFWRuD_iqbu2prxc9dU5xzlwgEXrf-hecV_FrskUEZvefe1YjGBlXkJ5b0KnC_4n7lKXfLEaLaVMF1o9PLEqEaKDr4JhtJNudVSowyL0n6MfygVWE/w240-h320/IMG_9872.JPEG" width="240" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Sunset Orange, Terra Cotta, Honeycomb<br /></td></tr></tbody></table><br /></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMaN5LRB9QtnyaqGEVb5uoYUVwKoOuPf63s9KLj-LcNLgArTF_ZG6BurGQFPz2OfljqJqyuynOpo-B_KmySL3cIVfqqJmNBa-BOJmoWz5mZJ_2h42b7Hg2k1HOAO71Eqh_byqZDxHPll8/s2048/IMG_9866.JPEG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; outline-width: 0px !important; user-select: auto !important;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMaN5LRB9QtnyaqGEVb5uoYUVwKoOuPf63s9KLj-LcNLgArTF_ZG6BurGQFPz2OfljqJqyuynOpo-B_KmySL3cIVfqqJmNBa-BOJmoWz5mZJ_2h42b7Hg2k1HOAO71Eqh_byqZDxHPll8/s320/IMG_9866.JPEG" /></a><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">After adding the inks, I laid the bubble wrap over the top and then weighted them down to dry with items from around the craft room. I just love how you can create so many different backgrounds to add to cards. Someday, I'll feel confident enough to make some Gelli plate videos, but not quite yet. Even though that isn't often possible, I can still enjoy being home when I am there and really focus on enjoying the little things. One of these little things to enjoy is trying new things - like this slimline card craze that is going around. This was the perfect card for it. There's even a video so grab a snack and a cozy blanket and enjoy. Better yet, watch it while you are creating something great.</span></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJYN95A42xrnE2npISFSsKNaujOkVYWJvlol_achWt8ztFEGJFgjivFk49vRGkNgnugFydPkzT-YHKnuHW9Se1wI7P_q5WuOaXy7kv1myzeyWA_f6ypjmnjmhII2gx5wjSuKZznR6mm9M/s1532/IMG_0060+%25282%2529.JPEG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="785" data-original-width="1532" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJYN95A42xrnE2npISFSsKNaujOkVYWJvlol_achWt8ztFEGJFgjivFk49vRGkNgnugFydPkzT-YHKnuHW9Se1wI7P_q5WuOaXy7kv1myzeyWA_f6ypjmnjmhII2gx5wjSuKZznR6mm9M/s320/IMG_0060+%25282%2529.JPEG" width="320" /></a></div><p><span style="text-align: center;">Here's what you need to get started:</span></p><p><span style="text-align: center;">Stamps: Close To My Heart "Beautiful You" and "Sent and Delivered" sets</span></p><p><span style="text-align: center;">Inks: Archival Jet Black; Versamark; Crackling Campfire, Peeled Paint and Seedless Preserves Distress Inks</span></p><p><span style="text-align: center;">Cardstock: White 110#, Paper Trey Ink Kraft</span></p><p><span style="text-align: center;">Paper Studio Kraft Envelope</span></p><p><span style="text-align: center;">Stencil: Tim Holtz THS077</span></p><p><span style="text-align: center;">Crackling Campfire Embossing Glaze</span></p><p><span style="text-align: center;">Clear Sequins</span></p><p><span style="text-align: center;">Gina K Connect Glue</span></p><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtUgd_qx0Kqw5uB7TVcKFo9cZIt6IKq3nC0GJ7rsU7-FJCi8q_pwj8QY63R9E34LEM1A_84n6AZymPHrASswcRBaXbYU-0Gvv7WEY9w43gR1h8rfBYgz2hpwHMreeWTsacZTeor4q2zvM/s2048/IMG_0062.JPEG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtUgd_qx0Kqw5uB7TVcKFo9cZIt6IKq3nC0GJ7rsU7-FJCi8q_pwj8QY63R9E34LEM1A_84n6AZymPHrASswcRBaXbYU-0Gvv7WEY9w43gR1h8rfBYgz2hpwHMreeWTsacZTeor4q2zvM/s320/IMG_0062.JPEG" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><span style="font-size: medium;">A coordinating envelope was accomplished by stamping a sentiment on the flap with Versamark ink and embossing with the Crackling Campfire embossing glaze.</span><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span><div><span style="font-size: medium;">Now for the video:<br /></span><p></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen="" class="BLOG_video_class" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/fVipdYKR7i0" width="320" youtube-src-id="fVipdYKR7i0"></iframe></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><div style="text-align: right;"><br /></div><span style="font-size: large; text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: center;">Thanks for stopping by today.</div><div style="text-align: center;">Remember to take some time to enjoy the little things.</div></span></div></div></div>Cherihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10307701252936586460noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7952780054572686986.post-62340871640573226922020-09-22T21:58:00.001-06:002020-09-22T21:58:38.663-06:00Fall Slimline Bonus Card<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This may be the longest time that I've ever gone without posting a video or any other content. You would have thought that being home more with the pandemic, I would have spent lots of time crafting and posting. I have actually remained quite busy at work since I'm working in a hospital. That doesn't mean that I haven't had time to create though. In fact, I have created a few videos which are available on my YouTube channel. Be sure to check those out <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjTG45szG-7RaTNfCAPnpXA" target="_blank">here</a>. I have posted the most on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/djssundries/" target="_blank">Instagram</a> and even found time to post some on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/djssundries/?ref=bookmarks" target="_blank">Facebook</a>. Be sure to click on the links and follow me on all the platforms to keep up with all the different content.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I have also spent some time watching the Tim Holtz Demo videos. Did you see them? Weren't they great? I learned so much from them that inspired me to get out supplies left long untouched and create. Of course I found lots of things that I "needed" to add to my collection too. I even added a shelving unit and changed up the organization of my craft room. You can see that video <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7fLf6lxzHc&t=361s" target="_blank">here</a>. The best part of being organized is that I make myself clean up completely at the end of every crafting session and I always have a clear space to create, even if I only have a small amount of time to spend creating. It has been such a blessing.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">So what will you see from DJ's Sundries in the coming months? Plan on seeing lots of projects using the wonderful products from my stash as well as new things that I have collected. I actually have several projects created and photographed just waiting to share. Also, expect me to continue focusing on the various "little things" that I love. We absolutely can't forget the "Sundries" part of DJ's Sundries.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCwEeZmHyK3Ot8qiHAi4hr1sazbmrvGWhnY6zs6INos-FnUjv-48hyphenhyphen_Z_S6JljlrFKArDXDyL81XeFtaDBP_MVPxBHJEix6vtfbJKD_H3rB2NgaxBegm-V6_kDXdtr2Sk2IUxSUvuAG8A/s1722/IMG_0063+%25282%2529.JPEG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="812" data-original-width="1722" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCwEeZmHyK3Ot8qiHAi4hr1sazbmrvGWhnY6zs6INos-FnUjv-48hyphenhyphen_Z_S6JljlrFKArDXDyL81XeFtaDBP_MVPxBHJEix6vtfbJKD_H3rB2NgaxBegm-V6_kDXdtr2Sk2IUxSUvuAG8A/s320/IMG_0063+%25282%2529.JPEG" width="320" /></a></div><br />In the meantime, this card is a bit of a teaser for a video that is coming later in the week. While working on the design and process for that video, I ended up with a second background which was just too good to pass up so now we have a bonus card. It is very similar to the card on the video while still being a one-of-a-kind card for someone to enjoy. Be sure to check back so you can learn how I created this gorgeous background.<p><span style="text-align: center;">Stamps: Close To My Heart "Beautiful You" and "Chelsea Gardens" sets</span></p><p><span style="text-align: center;">Inks: Archival Jet Black; Crackling Campfire, Peeled Paint, Ripe Persimmon, and Seedless Preserves Distress Inks (oops - There was one more color that I forgot to write down but I'm pretty sure that it was Barn Door. I needed to create some special thank you cards for Christmas, but having limited time, I needed something simple and still pretty. I dug through my stash and found these card bases that I purchased some time ago. I added some simple elements and these little cards were born.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: left;">
For the final video in the Christmas Tag Series, I created a special video for all my nieces and nephews. I have a lot of nieces and nephews and I try to create at least one or two projects especially for them each year. However to be perfectly honest, I think that adults will like this simple technique and it may even make you decide to never buy gift tags again... It's that simple but doesn't sacrifice charm for simplicity.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqh5LVwcicYr6awb557tOHUcJKk4GX44B9wjftNAHbCQnkK3RArSHrHzCWftfGc7BknfzyAkynpWe5V6uawB00pCFgj7XtMQyC4SPQZilU6-q5J0MMXODK8q-TSJJRUyX_QOV111Umf_Q/s1600/IMG_8970.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqh5LVwcicYr6awb557tOHUcJKk4GX44B9wjftNAHbCQnkK3RArSHrHzCWftfGc7BknfzyAkynpWe5V6uawB00pCFgj7XtMQyC4SPQZilU6-q5J0MMXODK8q-TSJJRUyX_QOV111Umf_Q/s320/IMG_8970.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">Here's what you will need:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">Pre-made tags or material to make your own (cardstock, chipboard, file folders, cereal boxes, etc)</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Paper napkins with a small pattern or print</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
White glue that will dry clear such as Elmer's school glue or Mod Podge</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Ribbon, yarn or some other string for your tops</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Ruler, scissors, pencil and hole punch</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The basic idea is to just use what you have. If you have a die cutting machine, great. If you don't have a die cutting machine, you can use a paper trimmer or just good old fashion scissors and a ruler to cut the tags. No hole punch? No problem! Be creative in cutting your hole at the top. I cut my tags at 2 1/4 X 4" but you can really make any size that fits the pattern of your napkins.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/ApWn-fjJlrY/0.jpg" frameborder="0" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ApWn-fjJlrY?feature=player_embedded" width="320"></iframe></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
Due to unforeseen circumstances, there will not be a tag this week. It has been a very busy week and I was just not able to get one done. I'm going to try to get one more done for my special kids. It's been nearly a year since we had a Crafty Time with Aunt Cheri video, but I would like to try to get one done by next Tuesday.</div>

How could I not make her a special little card? I dug deep into my stash and found this fun paper by Megan Elizabeth. I've had this paper for years and don't know if you can find it anywhere, but it coordinates beautifully and was designed specifically for the Cricut.<br />

<span style="font-size: medium;">Today, I am highlighting one of my favorite mediums - watercolors! I love using watercolors to enhance my cards and journals. Now I'm pulling them out for the tags. Don't let this item used by artists intimidate you. I'm not an artist but I love the effect that I can achieve with them. Watercolors are a great way to express your creativity no matter how much experience you have. You don't have to buy expensive ones. Just grab a set and start experimenting.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: medium;">Be sure to check out the video below for how these tags were made. Don't forget the giveaway for your chance to win a set of of the tags from this series.</span></div>

I love this season where we celebrate the birth of our Savior. Do you know Him? He wants to be your Savior too.<br />

I have a few goals for this Christmas season:<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Celebrate and focus on Jesus</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Focus on my husband</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Document it all</div>

I have so much to be thankful for. My God, my husband, my kids and the list goes on and on, My prayer today is that if you don't know the Lord, that you will trust Him as your only way to salvation There is nothing more to be thankful for.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
There are a few things that are a "must" at Christmas time and one of those things for me is the candy cane. When my children were little,we would read The Legend of the Candy Cane at Christmas time. It was one of 3 books that I loved to read every Christmas. The book talks about the Candy Cane being a reminder of Jesus and of His death for you and me.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Friend, do you know Jesus? I hope you do. If you don't, reach out to me and I will be happy to share the Good News of Jesus and how He was born as a baby so that He could die for your sins and mine. Wow! How awesome is that?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
On this tag, I used a stencil and distress ink to form the candy cane background and a tiny Close to my Heart stamp for the tree. I used Prisma colored pencils and gamsol to color in the tree.</div>

Cocoa Daisy has been such a fun addition to my planning and journaling in the past year. I have some fun things coming and Cocoa Daisy is going to be a big part of those, but first, lets finish out last spring.<br />

They are simple but I loved the way they turned out. There are days that you have very little time (or energy) to create something elegant, but you still want to make something special for your loved ones. Here are some cards where I did exactly that.<br />
<br />
I hope you enjoy this little video.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtAOKKGIbsQ3nhBn1Z388bUKGTFnelGtTjPK6BRoFIxDfUwl95bIukZZFYC9oBvR0kR2xgIf6z-CsfEzJo0eic8JZI16oxnhBDwty8H0-S-OYZs-2hgOQMqdcAxAjQZGylQnQHAezCeCg/s1600/IMG_E8769.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1558" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtAOKKGIbsQ3nhBn1Z388bUKGTFnelGtTjPK6BRoFIxDfUwl95bIukZZFYC9oBvR0kR2xgIf6z-CsfEzJo0eic8JZI16oxnhBDwty8H0-S-OYZs-2hgOQMqdcAxAjQZGylQnQHAezCeCg/s320/IMG_E8769.JPG" width="311" /></a></div>
<br />
I love Christmas tags. Last year, I was so busy that I bought those sticky tags to put on packages. They did the job, but this year I wanted so much more. I was inspired by Sandy Allnock's tag series to do some crafty tag making and I highly encourage you to go check out her 24 Tags of Christmas Videos. She is so very talented.<br />
<br />
Let's dive into this week's tag. There is a product list below that you might find helpful. If you saw the "Getting Ready for Christmas" video in the previous post, you know that I am trying to use my stash for much of my Christmas crafting this year. If you can't find a product listed below, be creative in your substitutions. I am also including the cut file from the Cricut Design Space.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggA_kfel6aV0z80v8mSmZmynJYHO8B3lBi8W1dE_4ozt0VSNzxltnPvhusiTFeFLUSY_qMk-snamLKODDhVZQGqRH2lvDaV_K9TkJzgKAq8oHd5yU86L6tNHCZ57PV4NGJ8fVBYPl4Yvo/s1600/IMG_E8770.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1433" data-original-width="1600" height="286" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggA_kfel6aV0z80v8mSmZmynJYHO8B3lBi8W1dE_4ozt0VSNzxltnPvhusiTFeFLUSY_qMk-snamLKODDhVZQGqRH2lvDaV_K9TkJzgKAq8oHd5yU86L6tNHCZ57PV4NGJ8fVBYPl4Yvo/s320/IMG_E8770.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The biggest tip I have for this tag is to use a new Cricut blade when cutting the glitter layer. It is very intricate and tears easily.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/-h0dQYFCkg0/0.jpg" frameborder="0" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/-h0dQYFCkg0?feature=player_embedded" width="320"></iframe></div>
<br />
Supplies:<br />
Design Space Cut File - <a href="https://design.cricut.com/#/landing/user-project/182911295">here</a><br />
Joys of the Season cartridge<br />
White Daisy cardstock<br />
Red glitter paper (Close to my Heart - CTMH)<br />
Ribbon from Michael's and Joann's<br />
Glue pen (I used Zig and CTMH)<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">What about that Giveaway?</span></div>
Enter a comment on this post. I will be choosing a random winner from all of the comments made here and on YouTube to receive a set of all of the tags from this year's posts. The more places you comment, the more chances you have to win. Winner announced 12/15/19.<br />

AgainI knew the last year had been busy but I had no idea that it had been nearly a year since I last posted. I have spent little time crafting, making videos or posting in the last year as life has been so very busy. I have spent some time in the last few weeks getting organized, posting videos and even doing some crafting. You will see quite a few posts in the next few days as I pull all the platforms together here.<br />
<br />
I do have some announcements and a haul in the videos below. Additionally, here's what you will see as I pull things together in the coming days:<br />

Though there can be a downside in the constant use of technology, there can also be an upside. I have found that technology helps keep my husband and I on the same page in keeping household and family responsibilities in order. Please enjoy the video below that shows my favorite apps to keep us<br />

I love fixing a table full of food and surrounding that table with family and friends. Some years I have had more than 20 people in my home and other years it has just been the four of us. Either way, it is a wonderful time to gather and not only to eat, but to thank the Lord for all that He has given us and all that He does for us. He is truly good and has given me more than I can ever fully thank Him for. Thanksgiving isn't the only one time of year to do that, but I believe it is an important time of year to do so.<br />
<br />
No matter how large or how small of a gathering I host, I have to be organized. I have always been a list maker for events, but I have found that Thanksgiving is one time that I want to not only be organized but I also want to preserve memories. That's what I am using this Thanksgiving Planner/ Journal/ Memory book to do.<br />
